Who I am
A British Italophile who has worked in events planning all my professional life. For the past twelve years, my focus has been exclusively on destination weddings and events in Italy – mainly Tuscany, from my home-base in Florence.
From the moment I first arrived in Florence as part of my university studies, Italy has always put a smile on my face. It makes my blood run faster – the warmth, the fun, the sun, the skies, the smiles, the passion, the theatre. I consider Tuscany one of the most beautiful and romantic places in the world and I love sharing its amazingness with others.
Joëlle Marie Events is the result of over 19 years experience in international event management for high profile clients with high expectations, in incredible locations around the world. I pride myself on great working relationships with a vast network of suppliers, my loyalty to clients and my attention to detail. As a perfectionist I do what it takes to make the best even better.
What I do
I help couples plan a destination wedding in Tuscany by choosing from my consultation packages, my venue selection service or my premier planning service.
I peek around cobbled street corners, run through vineyards and drive up cypress tree-lined hills to assemble the very best experiences for my clients so I can provide:
First-hand and in-depth knowledge on how to live, work, eat, and host a party with the finest vendors in one of Italy’s most sought-after regions.
I speak the language, negotiate as a local and avoid tourist pitfalls.
WHAT COUPLES WANT
Over the past decade, wedding planning has changed dramatically – especially destination weddings. When I started planning, there was little information online that didn’t fall into the package wedding category. A couple wanting to create their own unique wedding experience in Italy faced numerous challenges – notably communication with, and reputability of, local vendors. A wedding planner operating in Italy was the only way forward, and often the first call before even looking at potential venues. These days couples want to be able to manage more of the planning themselves but need a trusted guide and point of reference. This is where I step in.
